When all of the cats in town go missing, journalist Laura winner takes the case. As she moves through town, questioning residents and piecing the mystery together, she also uncovers hidden abilities within herself.
I'd be happy if all the strays went missing in my neighborhood. There'd be a lot less poo in the park. The big mystery to me is why everyone is so concerned, but you just have to roll with it.
This game will instantly bring to mind the "Mystery Case Files" series, since both involve good mysteries, and looking for hidden objects in cluttered rooms. However, Mysteryville is a lot easier than any games in the Mystery Case Files series. Maybe I'm blind as a bat, but MCF always stumped me out. In Mysteryville, I didn't get stuck as often, and only need hints once in a while. It was challenging, but not too much, know what I mean?
I have to add - why don't any of these people ever clean their houses?
It looks like one big frat party. Seriously, their places are just trashed. I know, its part of the game, but someone ought to call Merry Maids or something. Would you even step into a restaurant that dirty?
The Department of Health would have a field day. Ok, so maybe I've prowled a few comparable dive bars in my life, but after a bout with e-coli, you learn it's not the best idea, right?
It reminds me of something I saw on Oprah once - or maybe Rikki Lake? It was about people with OCD, who were so afraid of germs that they couldn't clean their houses, so their places were just full of junk.
This is a whole town of those people...
The art work is great. The people, especially, had a lot of realism. The music was not bad, as well. The only downside to this game is that it's relatively short. You should be able to finish it within 4 hours, probably less.
